The following is the proposed ordinance for Prompton Borough as suggested by FEMA, as it pertains to the Pennsylvania Flood Plain Management Act of 1978. The Prompton Borough Council are reviewing the proposed ordinance and are seeking the opinions of borough residents on the issue.

FEMA CCO Meeting
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) held a Community Coordination Outreach (CCO) meeting on Thursday, February 23, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the recently completed limited detailed flood map study.
Prompton Car Show

Fisherman’s Breakfast
The Prompton Community United Methodist Church will be sponsoring a Fisherman’s Breakfast on Saturday, April 16, 2015, from 6 AM to 10 AM. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children. Tickets will be available at the door.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Prompton United Methodist Church will be holding its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 26, at 11:00 AM. The hunt will take place on Odell’s ball field on Prompton Road, across from Potter’s Garage.
Candy donations are greatly appreciated. They should be given to Chris Giles on or before Sunday, March 20, during the weekly service held at Prompton United Methodist Church on Sundays at 9:30 AM.

County Homeless Census
The Local Housing Options Team, a subcommittee of the Wayne County Quality Council will be conducting a street count of unsheltered homeless people in Wayne County on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
Teams of professionals and volunteers will be conducting interviews, providing emergency referrals, and other outreach services. The county is asking for assistance in identifying probable locations where unsheltered individuals and families may reside in the borough. In particular they are looking for people who are living in places unfit or unsafe for human habitation such as tents, garages, the street, wooded areas, campgrounds, under bridges, abandoned buildings, or in vehicles.
